Ajit Das
Ajit Das was an Odia film actor, dramatist, stage actor, director and theater teacher. He is the founder of the Mancha Abhinaya Sikshyanusthan Abhinaya Jagarti Institute of Theatre. After completing his Diploma in Acting from the National School of Drama, he started entered in Odia films through Sindura Bindu in 1976.

Biography
He was born on January 20, 1949 in Karanjia, Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Ajit has been associated with drama since childhood. His grandfather Sudhir Chandra Das was a drama actor and had a drama troupe in Mayurbhanj. While watching dramas there, he was attracted to acting.
Professional Life
Ajit Das started working in Odia films in the year 1976 with Sindura Bindu. He played the negative role in the film, which was directed by Dhira Biswal. Later, he acted as a hero and character actor in many Odia films. Hakim Babu, Balidan, Rajani Gandha, Sindura Bindu, Para Jhia Ghara Bhangena are some of his prominent films. Apart from films, Ajit acted in television and stage plays.
He was working as the department head of the Utkal College of Music and Drama. He established a theater institute called Ajith (Abhinaya Jagriti Institute of Theatre) and gave drama performances and theater education.
