Biren Routray

Biren Routray, born on September 27, 1939 in Meria Bazaar, Cuttack, was the eldest son of freedom fighter Bhramarbar Routray and Taramani Devi. His journey in acting started on the stage in 1955. With a career spanning over decades, Biren’s body of work is outstanding. He has acted in an impressive number of more than 35 movies, 200 stage plays, and numerous TV shows, leaving a mark in each.

Notably, he has shown his acting prowess in a number of Odia films. Some of his prominent roles were in films like Bandhu Mohanty, Hisab Nikas, Dora, Bhakta Salabega, Kie Jite Kie Hare, Anyaya Sahibi Nahin, Anurag, Jaga Balia, Lal Pan Bibi, and Bhishma Pratigya. Each of these roles added a feather to the cap of this versatile actor.
