The most popular film album where Dhananjya Satpathy composed music is 1977 movie Rakta Golapa. He also given voice as secondary male singer in ‘Mana Rasiya Re’ song. He sang ‘Nuan Ghara Khandi Dine Puruna Hebare Mana’ song in 1979 movie Nijhum Ratira Sathi under music direction of Akshaya Mohanty.

On Akshaya Mohanty’s debut LP ‘Songs from the Land of Jagannath’, which was published in 1972, Dhananjay Satapathy provided vocals. He is one of the many people who entered the 1970s music scene. His publications are scarce despite his talent and creation of the famous song ‘Anga Deshara Saadhi’ Even though his catalog is small, Dhananjay Satpathy has a decent number of songs, particularly Palli Geeta. He writes humorous tunes on occasion.
